MAHPERD Statement of Purpose
The general welfare of the individual citizen is the first concern of a democratic society. Health and education are important, therefore, to any organization devoted to serving the needs of citizens. The opportunity to enjoy an optimal quality of life through participation in an active, diverse, inclusive environment supports the development and maintenance of a productive society.
The Michigan Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD) is dedicated to the provision of programs, products and services that support their members in the provision of quality health and physical education programs that facilitate health and physical literacy among all Michiganders.
